So nice to see one of my hats out there! I remembered I sold this hat to a grandmother and she was very excited to give it to her granddaughter. We took our time selecting the right hat and I'm so glad it worked out, it looks like it was made for her! No wonder a client called me "the hat match maker"! ๐ This coming Sunday I'll be displaying new winter hats in Boston at my old neighborhood, Jamaica Plain. I'm looking forward to it.

I love making and wearing hats. During the summer is baseball hats and bucket hats. As soon as it becomes a little chilly, I go with a skullcap all day! The pom poms on these beanies are removable, clever ! We are also making scarves, Christmas trees, ornaments and more! Very excited for my first market of the season, on Nov 2 at Jamaica Plain Open Streets, in Boston. Hoping to see many of my friends!

My favorite spot to crochet in Cafe Nero, with an almond croissant and a cappuccino on the side. Making hats and scarves, starting to be cold around here. Stay tuned!

Pumpkins and sunflowers ready to decorate your table! I love pumpkin doughnuts, and pumpkin beer with a cinnamon sugar rim, yummy! Not a fan of the pumpkin latte though! Fall is my favorite season, what is yours?

We have a banner, finally! It took me some time to make this happen, so many small pieces on the puzzle of running a little business! I'm so grateful and glad that on the journey of figuring out how to market and sell, I found Latchet. I get inspired and excited from getting to know the wonderful members of our Latchet community. I learn so much from you! Thanks to the folks for subscribing and recommending The Queer Stitch, I appreciate you tons! Let's keep supporting each other, I wish I could meet you in person and give you a big hug!

How is your fall going on? Thank God for nature to remind us that change is inevitable, meanwhile we need to do our best to create more kindness, more empathy, more beauty. Times are hard right now and we have each other to rely on! Let's love win!

Less than a 100 days for Christmas, and for the busiest season for a lot of us! Organizing and working on making reality the twenty thousand ideas in my head! Meanwhile enjoying the wonderful fall weather and the cozyness of it. Fall is my favorite season, from pumpkin everything, apple cider doughnuts, yummy soups, and the wonderful display of colors. Hope you are enjoying it too!

What a great time we had on Saturday at The Providence Flea. I'm thankful for the conversations and for the compliments and appreciation of my work. People love our name, out and loud, and to feel recognized and affirmed. This coming Saturday we are at Pride Worcester on their 50 years celebration. It's going to be epic! I can't wait!

In Puerto Rico, we call the hummingbird "el pica flor" as a reference for going from one flower to another. The actual name is Colibrรญ, whimsical and beautiful name! Here is my Queer rendition! Hello there! Here we go, another hot week in New England! Meanwhile I stay cool making a series of Seahorses! Since a kid, Seahorses marveled me, their size, their shape, the way they move, just pure art. I had the chance to see them at the Monterey Aquarium years ago, and here I am crocheting them in the most Queer way! They will be available here and at the end of August and beggining of September at The Providence Flea, and at Worcester Pride. Welcome to my Queer Utopia world!

As I get to know more about Maine, the more I love it here! We have a huge yard, it took me three days to mow the lawn and while doing it I discovered that we have a huge bush of blackberries and also Fox grapes! I cherish these simple moments in life. After working hard and sweating I reward myself with a dip in the river just 5 minutes away. I have also discovered a great yarn store in Camden, The Cashmere Goat. They are an hour away but the trip is worth the time! I love their yarn selection, currently finished a lace scarf using one of their yarn.

I love making skullcaps and I can wear them all year long! The weather is lovely here in Orono, ME. I go back and forth to Massachusetts and Maine, with all my crochet materials! I'll be making more hats, scarves, cards, ornaments, Christmas trees, kitties, and whatever else comes to my mind! I'll keep you posted.

The Golden Hour is my favorite time of the day. I love capturing the moment and the feeling of surprise when it suddenly happens and that I get to enjoy it right from my backyard! What is your favorite time of the day? We are in the middle of July and for crocheters and knitters it means Christmas in July! This is the time where we are thinking, designing, making, to be ready for the busiest time of the year. I can't wait to start making new Christmas trees and ornaments, among other things!

Hola! I'm bummed I missed last week update! A very strong old school cold got me hard, not out yet! Slowed me down for sure! I'm working on new cards, and preparing for my first time at Flea in the Park market in Providence this coming Sunday. Providence Flea is one of my fave markets, so excited! Today, if I'm feeling better I will also be in the Amherst Artisan's Market. I hope you are all healthy and enjoying the summer that doesn't last that long in New England!

What a great almost 3 weeks break! I am a very proud "boricua" (Puerto Rican) and how can't you not be, with the many gorgeous beaches, the yummiest food, and the friendliest and kindest people. And now time to enjoy the New England summer! Find me in Amherst at the Amherst Artisan's Market on Thursdays, 3-7 and at The Providence Flea in July and August. Hope your summer is looking good!

My bandanas made it to St. John! What a relaxing time I had! Loved the slowness and peaceful days and nights, waking up and drink my coffee having this view in front of me and the sound of so many birds, and jumping in the Caribbean Sea every evening! Now I'm in my homeland Puerto Rico, enjoying my family and ready to march in our Pride parade. Then I'll be back, to participate on the Amherst Artisan's Market on Thursdays and a couple of Sundays at The Providence Flea market. So much gratitude!

Hello from St. John, Virgin Islands. This is my first mosaic crochet throw made for my niece as a house warming present for the amazing tiny home that she built. Finally, I was able to deliver in person! It was inspired by the gorgeous view of the mountains from the deck. I might make more but at a smaller size, we'll see! I love the island life, as a good Puerto Rican does! I'm so grateful of the chance to slow down, to dive in the ocean every day! What do you do to slow down?

Came back home to find this beauties welcoming back! I love this time of the year! Inspired me to learn how to crochet Rhododendron flowers, I'm working on it. It's tricky because I'm using the thinner yarn and smallest hook #, but I'm making progress! I will keep you updated. I am also getting ready for a 3 weeks vacation visiting family and friends in gorgeous St. John and Puerto Rico, I will definitely share pictures! Can't wait to the warm waters of the Caribbean!

So much fun making these crochet mini canvases! Very excited for the pride event at Bellforge Art Center in Medfield, this coming Saturday. Hopefully the rain will go away, fingers crossed. Pride! Loving celebrations with friends and family, supporting each other and defending our right to exist! These granny stitch pride flags are getting ready to be matted and framed and they will be available here in my store and at several Pride markets.

Robin blue eggs nest in our yard, truly sign of Spring! It's absolutely gorgeous all around, and so nice to wear shorts and short sleeves and show some skin! On Saturday we will be vending at my favorite market, Yet Another Queer Pop Up Market, in Florence, MA. I can't wait to see other vendor friends and celebrate Mother's day with my queer community in Western Mass. To all the moms out there, I wish you the happiest day!

We are ready for our first spring market on Sunday in Boston, my Operations Manager, Nymph, is making sure we are! Then on May 10th we head to Florence, MA, to my favorite market, with 90 vendors, for the Spring Queer Market. The two events are LGBTQ+ run and organized, with a variety of amazing artists and community organizations supporting and lifting each other. I can't wait!

This litter is ready to find their forever home! โบ๏ธ And this also reminds me of the many feral kittens that will be born and in need to be rescued and also find a forever home! Four of our five cats were rescued and we "fail fostered" them. They were 4 weeks old when we brought them to our lives, and it was the best decision ever! So either go out there and adopt one or get one of this adorable pocket kitties! ๐ป Or do both! ๐คช

We are busy preparing for April and May markets. I'm loving making the greeting cards. A customer wrote to me letting me know that her mother in law loved the card and said that it was a beautiful keepsake. And that is exactly the idea, it is more than a greeting card, a little framed piece of art! Perfect for any occasion!

Still cold in New England, eagerly waiting for temperatures above 50 to get my hands dirty in the garden. I absolutely love Dahlias and I had no luck growing them. I'll try again this year, meanwhile I'll just keep crocheting them! I love these framed greeting cards and I know whoever you send them to they will love it!

I'm so grateful for my community! We hold each other, and in these unsettling times we keep each other safe, and loved! These houses are happy homes where we gather, break bread together and celebrate who we are. Love you all!

Last week I sold the rainbow nesting hearts crochet art to the mom of one of the vendors that night. She was very touched by the piece and told me that she had goosebumps. I almost cried! I am very intentional about my creations, my work is centered in my queerness and my love for my community. More will be available soon, with the hope that you experience the love and joy I experience while creating it.

What a great time I had on my first market of the year. And yes it's the time for rocking a cute bucket hat! I love when my customers find that perfect hat, that feels like it was made for them. Nothing like folks feeling affirmed and seen! One of my customers calls me "the hat matchmaker"! I wish you a great rest of the week and weekend, and a happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Just a little reminder that love and the simple things in life is what all is about! I'm really enjoying making art with micro crochet. I'm on a mission to spread queer joy, one stitch at a time! Happy March!

Hi there! I don't know you but I'm ready to shift gears and wear T-shirts, shorts, flip flops and of course, cute bucket hats! These will be available soon at the store and on my first market of the year, next week on the 9th! Meanwhile, let's hope for warmer days and longer hours of sun light!

I always wanted to crochet little things and also wanted to make art. It feels like painting and I wish it conveys the joy I had while making these crochet art pieces. Available now in my store.

It's so cold, I can't wait for spring! Meanwhile we can use the time to slow down and let the creativity flow. Working on this collection that soon will be available. Soon nature will explode in color!
